Girls: Trading Anxiety & Perfectionism for Authent Girls: Trading Anxiety & Perfectionism for Authentic Growth

Wednesday 19 August, 7pm AEST

It’s a heartbreaking reality: mental health disorders in teenagers are on the rise. Girls are the most affected, and while there are several contributors to this trend, social media is unquestionably a major factor for many of our daughters.

Platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok have changed the way girls relate. Social media has changed girls’ expectations for themselves and each other. Anxiety, perfectionism, bullying, and self-loathing are just some of the devastating side effects.

In short, new and impossible standards are leaving many of our daughters feeling like they’re simply… not enough. But there’s hope.

Join Dr Justin Coulson for Girls, where he’ll unpack:

Why so many of our girls don’t feel they are enough.
How our best-intentioned efforts to help them feel enough backfire.
Solutions that shift your daughter’s focus from worrying if she’ll ever be enough to no longer even thinking about it.
How to establish a relationship that leaves no doubt that she really is enough.

@b2architecture_melb Now welcoming visitors, staf @b2architecture_melb
Now welcoming visitors, staff and students, the newly redeveloped Corpus Christi School's administration building is a warm, vibrant and inviting space.
Its contemporary architectural forms, like the exterior's curvilinear canopies and supporting walls that form cross symbols, celebrate and bring the school and parish communities’ faith and values to life.
Inside, a colourful, large-format mural evokes curiosity, while timber panels create visual interest and strategically placed openings and highlight windows throughout flood the space with natural light.
Importantly, its redevelopment created a dedicated entrance for visitors, additional meeting rooms, office spaces and work areas, designed with functionality in mind, that will improve the day-to-day lives of staff and students.

Boys: Building Strong Young Men From the Inside Ou Boys: Building Strong Young Men From the Inside Out

Wednesday 17 June | 7pm AEST

He’s disappearing. Behind the closed door, lost in screens, making choices that keep you up at night. He’s navigating a world designed to confuse him – algorithms designed to addict him – a world parents don’t understand and can’t break into. The headlines scream crisis. They warn us that boys are in deep trouble… and it’s getting worse.

But it doesn’t have to be like this.

Dr Justin Coulson has a different story to tell. In Boys, Dr Coulson reveals what decades of research suggests: when boys get what they actually need, they thrive. Not through force or fixing, but through connection, meaningful challenge, and someone who refuses to give up on them.

This presentation hands you the ‘Playbook’. It cuts through the noise with practical, research-backed strategies for the battles you’re fighting right now. Gaming. Pornography. Self-control. Friendships. School motivation. How to discipline without destroying trust. How to stay close when he’s pushing away.

But beneath the tactics lies something more powerful: a vision of masculinity worth fighting for. Boys who help others feel safer and stronger. Who create surplus value. Who become not just good men, but the best version of themselves. Your son already has everything he needs to get there.

Yesterday, our staff and students had the privileg Yesterday, our staff and students had the privilege of working alongside Aboriginal artist Bayley Mifsud (Merindah Gunya).
Bayley shared her knowledge of Aboriginal culture and helped deepen our understanding of the importance of Aboriginal art as a way of storytelling, connection, and identity. Together, we explored and contextualised our Acknowledgement of Country, with a strong focus on the meaning of respect and the important role it plays in both Welcome to Country and Acknowledgement of Country practices.
It was a valuable and meaningful experience for our whole school community, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from Bayley.
We look forward to seeing the artwork Bayley is creating for our new building and the lasting connection it will bring to our school community.
