Positive Recognition

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole-school framework that promotes a consistent approach to supporting positive behaviour. By clearly defining, teaching, and reinforcing expectations, PBL helps create a safe, supportive, and predictable school environment for every student.

This consistent approach extends across all areas of school life — in the classroom, playground, transition spaces, and the wider community. Through PBL, students are provided with proactive, systematic, and individualised strategies that build social and learning success while reducing the likelihood of problem behaviours.

Key features of PBL include a strong focus on prevention, the use of data to guide decisions, and a problem-solving mindset to ensure students receive the right support at the right time.

Recognition of Positive Behaviours

At Corpus Christi, we celebrate and encourage positive behaviour through our reward system. Tokens linked to our school expectations are awarded daily, both in the classroom and in the yard, to acknowledge students who make positive choices.

Students collect tokens in their class jar and are recognised at assembly when they consistently demonstrate our behaviour expectations. Positive behaviour is celebrated through the community in newsletters and assemblies, ensuring that positive behaviour is recognised and valued across our whole school community.
