Wellbeing Pathway

At Corpus Christi, student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We have developed a Wellbeing Pathway that provides a tiered approach to support, ensuring every child is met at their point of need. This pathway combines school-wide initiatives with targeted strategies, so that all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

TIER 1 – Whole School Supports

Tier 1 focuses on creating a safe, inclusive, and positive school culture for all students. These universal supports include:

  • Social-emotional learning in every classroom
  • Regular wellbeing check-ins
  • Teaching and reinforcing school values and behaviour expectations
  • Bullying prevention and positive behaviour support
  • Celebrations of diversity and belonging
  • Strong communication with families
  • Professional learning for staff

TIER 2 – Targeted Supports

  • Small group programs on friendship, resilience, or self-regulation
  • Teacher check-ins and support systems
  • Targeted wellbeing programs (e.g. Berry Street strategies and the Peaceful Kids Program)
  • Adjusted routines and “ready to learn” strategies
  • Restorative conversations and goal setting

Tier 3 – Individualised Supports

A small number of students may require intensive, personalised support. This can include:

  • Individual behaviour or safety plans
  • Specialist input from Psychs in Schools or allied health professionals
  • Progress Support Group (PSG) meetings with families
  • Referrals to external services for extra care
  • Personalised Learning Plans tailored to wellbeing, learning, and engagement goals

At Corpus Christi, our Wellbeing Pathway ensures that every student receives the right support at the right time, helping them feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.
